At this point in the election year, I would hope that I wouldn't have to be too persuasive when it comes to offering an alternative to our current situation, but that's beside the point. I am here to announce the formal candidacy for Francis J. Underwood of Gaffney, SC for President of the United States, effective immediately. I am also here to offer my endorsement. Frank is more than qualified in terms of diplomacy, political capital, and just being what this nation needs.

Diplomacy

When it comes to diplomatic relations, we need somebody that is well-versed on the issues at hand and who is willing to do what is in the best interest of the American people. Frank is the man for the job. Not only did he smooth things over with China within the first few minutes of being president in House of Cards, but his psychological savvy and strategic planning make him the best diplomat this country could hope for.

Political Capital

Frank is a southern democrat, giving the left and right the best of both worlds when it comes to policy. He was also the congressional whip when he served in the leadership of the House of Representatives in season one, making him persuasive and capable in his own right. America needs somebody that is willing to stand up for what he believes in, no matter what the consequences may be.

Frank also has many more character traits that make him what this country needs right now. While his tactics may be questionable at times, he gets things done. He got an education bill on the House floor within 100 days and drafted his own jobs plan within 30. With all of the red tape in Washington, DC, we need somebody with the master pair of scissors to expedite the situation. He would also probably not even choose a running mate, I mean who could live up to those expectations? And then there is the icing on the cake- his wife Claire. Claire Underwood would be like no other first lady we have ever seen. Much more than a figurehead, you could bet that she would seek out some serious social reform of her own while Francis is busy being the most powerful man in the free world.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
