14 Reasons Fall Is The Best Season Of Them All

We all know everyone has their favorite season, that time of year that everyone loves and they enjoy year after year after year. For me that season happens to be fall. Fall, in my opinion is definitely the greatest season of them all, of course the other seasons are still awesome but fall just has so many perks, how could you not love it.

14. Leaves

One of my favorite things about this time of year is the change of scenery that happens. I absolutely love to watch the leaves change color and fall off of the trees. It's so beautiful to see nature change and grow just as humans should and most do.

13. The Weather

Personally, I really enjoy the weather in the fall, you’re finally over the hump of the obnoxiously hot weather that always happens and now it's finally starting to get cooler out and you’re able to spend time outside without sweating bullets or getting sunburn. The cool weather of fall is definitely the best weather of all time, especially because of some of the fashion options that come with the fall weather.

12. Hoodies and Sweaters

Anyone who knows me personally knows I absolutely love hoodies. Hoodies add so much comfort to any outfit you are wearing. The same goes for sweaters, sweaters come in so many different styles, which allows for some serious versatility, you can dress up or dress down by adding a sweater. I absolutely love waking up and throwing on a big hoodie or sweater and going to class nice and comfortable, not too hot, not too cold, it's just right.

11. Sweatpants and Joggers

Another big style option that fall brings back to live is the trend of sweatpants and joggers. Personally, I love sweatpants more than anything. Nothing feels better than throwing on a nice comfy pair of sweatpants and walking out the door. If you’re not a fan of the “bum look” that is associated with sweatpants you can opt for the nicer, slightly classier option of joggers. Joggers are just as comfortable as sweatpants but allow for some serious versatility. They have joggers that look like sweatpants or joggers that look like nice pants. This is awesome if you want to cheat the dress code like I used to do at work. Instead of throwing on an uncomfortable pair of khakis, just throw on some khaki colored joggers, most people won’t even notice.

10. Hayrides

Everyone from young to old can enjoy a hayride (whether it's haunted or not), who doesn’t love just sitting on a bail of hay going for a ride around a field, thinking about it now this does sound kind of weird but for the most parts hayrides SCREAM fall to me and they’re so much fun for everyone.

9. Haunted Houses

Not going to lie, when I was a kid I used to be scared to death of Haunted Houses and Mazes and stuff like that, but, after going through some Haunted Mazes and Houses over the past weekend I realized how awesome they are. Although a lot of the stuff is “scary” in the moment, it more just strikes your adrenaline and gives you a rush. It's a lot of fun and one of my favorite things to do in the fall.

8. Bonfires

If you live in the suburbs, like I did for most of my life, you know how awesome bonfires are. Nothing feels better than sitting outside someone's house, around a fire, with all your best friends, some good music, roasting marshmallows, and great conversation.

7. Apple Picking

This one is pretty self explanatory apple picking is just overall really fun and something you just don’t get to do any other time of the year and it's something good and fun to do, especially if you need to get out of the house.

6. Carving Pumpkins

In case Bonfires, Apple Picking, Haunted Houses, and Hayrides don’t appeal to you( I don’t know how you wouldn’t, you might just like carving pumpkins. I have to say one of the things I miss about spending Halloween at home, as a kid, is that you could carve pumpkins and just have a good time.

5. Apple Cider

One of my personal favorite things about fall is the drink options, one of my personal favorites being apple cider, it's just so good and tingles your tastebuds in a special way.

4. Pumpkin Spice Latte’s

I don’t care what anyone says, it doesn’t even have to be a latte, but Pumpkin Spice flavoring in stuff is the best. Whether it’s coffee or not pumpkin spice flavored foods and drinks are absolutely delicious!

3. Black Friday

All I have to say about black friday is, who doesn’t enjoy a good sale. Getting up early in the morning just to get the obnoxiously expensive gadget you want for a ridiculously cheap price is just the best feeling in the world, especially with the holiday season coming up.

2.Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is really self-explanatory who doesn’t love getting around the table with your family and pigging out more than usual once a year.

1. Halloween

Halloween is my favorite part of fall hands down, between the awesome movies, the free candy, the costumes, and of course the parties. Think about it how many other days of the year to you get to dress up as Harambe, Snooki, or a Cat and go out and get some free candy or get drunk with some of your best friends.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
