You've reached a point in your life where every day repeats itself. You make movements without any longer thinking about them because they've become habits of your occupied mind. However, there is always a way to break the curse. While help from others is excruciatingly thoughtful, you're truly able to do this all on your own.
1. Read a book
Oftentimes, reading serves as a heck of a medicine to those who want to heal. While you can always watch a movie or binge your favorite Netflix show in order to take your mind off of things, reading helps you do so in a different fashion. It doesn't provide you with the visuals that the former do. But you get to read in the voice that you create in your own head. You imagine the plot unfolding upon the characters, whose appearances you create on your own. Through this way, you know them almost as well as the author does — you are able to cope through them.
2. Pay extra attention to your surroundings
Go for a walk, regardless of the weather. Whether it's raining, snowing or beautifully clear outside, the walls you've built around yourself immerse into the nature around you. It almost lifts the heavy weight off of your shoulders. Take mental images of the droopy flowers that seem to mimic your recent state of mind. Watch the colors of the sky change. Let the fresh air envelope you like a cozy blanket would.
3. Break the thread of constancy in your life
Do something new. Do something bold. Do something that will mark the swift change that occurred in your life. Get a hairstyle you never thought of having. Take up a new hobby. Talk to someone you usually wouldn't. Try, with everything in you, to better yourself.
4. Let those around you in
The people you confide in will start to hold some of the weight you try to balance. With each person washing just a bit of your doubts away, you'll soon face the clarity that you've been looking for. Those around you will reciprocate your bravery. They will begin to confide in you because they see you're strong enough to do the same. Helping others is the easiest and most selfless way to allow yourself to heal.
