Four Things I'd Never Wish On My Enemy

These four things will leave you crying in the corner. Don't believe me?

Four Things I'd Never Wish On My Enemy

We all know that horrible things happen in the world every single day. People break bones, lose their jobs and so on. But there are some things that happen in our lives that seem worst than anything else (at the moment of course.) Don't get me wrong, getting in a car accident is a horrid experience that no one should have to go through, but here are four things that may cause us to break down and cry a little ... or a lot.

1. The Heartbreaking Screen Shatter

Dropping your phone seems like no big deal, until the moment you drop it (usually on accident), then pick it up and realize that your perfectly manufactured screen has been shattered. Kind of like our hearts after witnessing this. Your first reaction is to just fall to the ground and start weeping like a baby, but of course it's just a phone (to some people), so you have to play it cool and act like you don't care. Now you have two options, either deal with the cracked screen until your upgrade or call every phone repair place and pay whatever you have to in order to protect your pride and joy. If you're smart, you'll go with option No. 2.

2. Stubbing Your Toe

I don't have to explain this to you. Stubbing your toe on anything is like getting sucker punched by The Rock himself. Your so-called BAE, the bed, is usually the mastermind behind this pain. Better watch where you're going or you might end up looking like Kim K. crying about something pointless.

3. Liking The 82-Week-Old Photo

If you're like me, then you LOVE to stalk people on social media. Especially on a Monday night when you're done with all of your responsibilities and are just chilling on your bed watching Netflix. Who am I kidding? I really mean during that first hour in the library when you're supposed to be "studying." It's all fun and games until you accidentally like a picture from a year and a half ago. Now the person you were stalking knows what you were doing and is probably freaked out (unless they like you, then they'll probably think it's cute) You wish you would have been doing anything else in that moment than reading social media. Pack your bags now because you have to flee the country, or you can just be a "normal" person and deal with the awkwardness between you two .. that's cool, I guess.

4. The Good Old " College Try"

So, you decide to be a good student for the night. Instead of going out with your friends or watching re-runs of "Blue Mountain State," you decide to work on your assignments. You've been working on your essay for two hours now, and it's possibly the greatest thing that has ever been written since Nicholas Sparks' last novel. You have a paragraph to go when you decide you want to change the song you're listening to, you go to your music tab, come back and BAM! Your work is gone. At first you try to stay calm. Maybe it saved on its own, you think to yourself. When really, that never happens. Your mood goes from happy to Kanye real fast because you realize all of your hard work is gone. You're ready to throw your laptop at the wall, but instead you shut down your computer and cry yourself to sleep. Hey, at least you can say you tried. That's good enough for me.

There are worse things in the world, but if these four devastating occurrences don't make you cringe a little, are you even human?

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

It's not all morning coffees and singing along to the radio.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.
