Look, I completely understand how weird it is that I am a 21-year-old who is writing an article about why I, a senior in college, relate to a cartoon chicken from a Disney movie. But guess what? I have no shame, because have you seen Hei Hei? Adorable. Hilarious. Mind-numbingly stupid.

I don’t really know what it says about me, ya know, considering I relate to a cartoon chicken, but I’ve accepted it. So with all this being said, and putting aside the embarrassment from even writing this article, here are four reasons why I relate to Hei Hei, the chicken from “Moana."

1. I will eat basically anything and everything that is put in front of me.

Because, ya know, food.

2. I do not function well in places that I don’t know.

Same, Hei Hei, same. #Uncomfortable.

3. Sometimes, I need a little help.

Even when I don’t necessarily realize that I do.

4. I don’t always learn my lesson, and will probably make the same mistake twice.

Maybe six times in a row but WHO’S COUNTING.

Hei Hei is, dare I say it, my spirit animal. No shame in the game, my friends.
