Four Reasons To Keep On Living
Voices Of Youth

Life is both a beautiful and terrifying thing. One day you can be extremely happy and having the best day of your life, and the next your head can be exploding with the most negative thoughts that strip you of the joy you felt the day before. That’s just how it goes for a lot of people. Most of the time, it can just seem like a never-ending cycle of ups and downs, and for some reason we tend to dwell more on the downs. This can be extremely negative as many people allow these bad days to take away their hope for life and leave them in utter despair. However, that’s not how it has to be. If we focus more on the good days that we do have, then life can be a little bit more enjoyable in the long run.

That being said, here are four reasons to keep on living this beautiful life:

1. You are enough

It may not seem like it sometimes, but I promise that you have a purpose in life. You matter to this world. Life is too big to constantly only focus on what others think about you. You are an awesome human being who is getting through this difficult life. You are enough on your own; don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

2. Somebody loves you

Always remember that there is someone out there who loves you, whether you know it or not. So, you’re not in a relationship or you're not close with your family; that doesn’t matter. Your family definitely still loves and you have friends who are crazy about you! You are loved.

3. The sky

This may seem a little random, but it’s also very important (in my opinion). The sky is an amazing feature of this world. It is just so awesome and beautiful. If you are ever having a really terrible mental day, I encourage you to go out and just watch the sunset. It is the loveliest aspect of nature and really helps you to escape from your thoughts. When you watch the sunset, nothing else seems to matter. It’s just you and the sun (and maybe some water in between).

4. There is always hope

I know that your bad days seem to leave you in despair, but it is crucial for you to know that there will always be hope in some way, shape or form. You might be having the worst time right now, but if you hold on for just one more day, then you can see the beauty that the future holds for you. Happiness will come, have a little faith!

All in all, life is a crazy, scary, beautiful roller coaster ride. You never know where it’s going to take you. Yes, there are a lot of things that can bring you down, but if you focus more on the positive aspects then you can enjoy life a little bit more! There are many more reasons besides these four and they are all worthy of your attention! I know that it’s easier said than done, but I suppose that’s just how it goes. So, hold on for one more day. Try your hardest to show your demons who the boss is in your life! Have faith that better days are coming!

Your life is worth fighting for. Keep on living!

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
