Planning your next road trip? Why not plan ahead to spend that time listening to a podcast? Here are my top four podcasts to pass the time on your next road trip:

1. "Up And Vanished"

This podcast is as eerie as it gets. Payne Lindsey, an Atlanta native, opens back up a 12-year-old cold case, which is now the largest case file in Georgia history, about a 30-year-old high school history teacher and former beauty pageant contestant who "up and vanished" one day to never be seen again. The eerie part of this case is that she is from a small, southern, tight-knit town, yet her body has never been found. Even in such a small town, no one seems to know what happened to Tara, or at least, no one wants to speak up.

With each podcast lasting between 25-60 minutes, and over twenty available episodes, this podcast is definitely one to put on your list.

2. "Missing Richard Simmons"

On February 15, 2014, the celebrated and influential fitness coach Richard Simmons disappeared. Out of nowhere, he stopped showing up to class, cut off his closest friends, and completely took himself out of the public eye. For someone who appeared to love showing off, this new Richard didn't fit his regular character.

This podcast follows on Richard's close friends search to make sure his long-time mentor and friend are in a good place. This podcast includes both light-hearted suspenseful moments as well as laugh-out-loud moments making it a perfect choice for your next road trip!

3. "Welcome to Night Vale"

Welcome to Night Vale is quite honestly a weird podcast. It is presented as a news show about the strange occurrences that happen in the town of Night Vale. You really have to start from the beginning of this series to be able to follow along, but you start, you will be so confused you won't want to stop till you slowly but surely get attached to it.

With about over a hundred episodes of about 20 minutes each, this podcast is positively weird, making it perfect for your next long road trip.

4. "Dear Hank & John"

This podcast is honestly super fun; especially if you are already a Vlogbrothers fan. If you don't know who John and Hank Green are, you will easy want to become best friends with them after listening to an episode or two.

John Green, the author of many famous books such as "The Fault in our Stars" and "Paper Towns", joins forces with his brother, Hank Green, to create one awesome podcast full of easy-going, laugh-out-loud comedy. In fact, even their sign off is enough to lift your spirits: DFTBA (Don't Forget to be Awesome)!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
