We're all waiting for that constant friend nostalgia to creep up on us. We all love to relive elements of our childhood; October is the perfect time to satisfy this desire by watching your favorite Halloween movies! This Halloween, relish in the times when you were younger by checking out these spooky throwbacks.

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas

This classic Halloween/Christmas crossover, directed by Henry Selick and written by Tim Burton, came out in 1993. However, its intriguing narrative and expert animation render it modern and memorable. This movie does not go unseen by children and adults alike, who thrive in its dark humor and visual thrill. Jack Skellington, our protagonist (and antagonist?) is entertaining and terrifying as he journeys beyond his home to discover other fantastical parts of his animated world.

2. The Halloweentown Series

No throwback Halloween movie list would be complete without the Halloweentown series. This Disney Channel original movie collection tells the story of young Marnie, a teenage girl obsessed with Halloween, and how she discovers inner family secrets and ties to a town outside of her dimension called "Halloweentown". Here, ghouls, ghosts, and many other magical creatures live in harmony with witches and wizards. The movies in the series follow Marnie's treacherous and adventurous endeavors in Halloweentown with her younger siblings, her mother, and her grandmother!

3. Twitches and Twitches Too

Have you ever wanted to find out that you had a twin sister? How about learning that you had magical powers? This Disney Channel Original combines both of these amazing wishes in this pair of movies. Real-life sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry are complete opposites as Alexandra and Camryn in this movie; on the day that they meet, Camryn is shopping and Alex is looking for a job. When they discover their magical powers are actually meant to save the home in which they were born, Coventry, from The Darkness, they face challenges never before thought of in their lives on Earth. This movie is as fun to watch now as it was when we did as kids!

4. Corpse Bride

Finally, Corpse Bride; this enchanting film relays the story of awkward Victor (Johnny Depp), who through an arranged marriage is engaged to the young Victoria (Emily Watson), accidentally rises from the grave the corpse of a bride (Helena Bonham Carter) who laid dormant in the woods until he practiced his wedding vows for Victoria in front of her grave. Victor is pulled into the spirit world, which is more exciting and vivid than one would imagine.

The animation of this movie is so superb and beautiful; it is similar to The Nightmare Before Christmas in this way. Both influenced by Tim Burton, who has so effectively left his mark on this movie, it is an engaging and haunting movie with a unique narrative we have come to love throughout the years.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
