You Know You're A Former Disney Cast Member When...
Character Central

This article is for anyone who has ever worked for The Mouse. While working for Disney, we operate by such a unique culture and set of rules that even after our time for Disney has come to an end, we still remember everything they taught us like it was yesterday.

1. The Disney Point

Even while you’re not at work, it’s still normal to point with two fingers or your whole hand.

2. It’s Normal For You To Start Conversations With “One Time At Disney”

Most of the stories you tell your friends and family are usually from your time while working for Disney.

3. You Tear Up At Disney Commercials

I don’t know about you, but anytime I see any Disney World commercial, I can’t help but tear up a little because of how much I miss it.

4. You Know What An Alpha-Unit Means

And other Disney lingo. Disney has a whole language just for their cast members to use with one another.

5. Magical Moments

Now whenever you see something heartwarming, you call it a magical moment without even realizing it.

6. It’s A Costume, Not A Uniform

And you cringe every time someone says “Disney Employee” and “Disney Uniform”

7. Hidden Mickeys

You can easily spot a Hidden Mickey, anywhere.

8. “When Is The 3 o’clock Parade?”

You cringe just hearing this question. This is seriously the most commonly asked question by guests.

9. Days Off = Free Time In The Parks

You miss being able to just go hang out in Magic Kingdom on your days off from work.

10. You Never Need A Map For The Parks

Seriously, you have all the parks memorized like the back of your hand.

11. Helping Guest Off The Clock

Even when you’re just hanging out in the parks off, you’ve still had guests come up to you looking for help. Whether it’s directions or having them take a picture for you. And it brings out the Cast Member in you.

12. You Get Really Creative To Answer Guests’ Questions

“Why is there a line coming from Cinderella Castle?” Well that’s because Peter Pan drew a line in the sky so Tinkerbell doesn’t get lost while flying!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).
