Many of the following movies were central to my childhood, having grown up in the early 2000s. Unfortunately, almost all of these movies are under appreciated and, as a result, forgotten.

The Incredibles

A Pixar film about a superhero family. It is finally getting a sequel in 2018!

Spirited Away

A story that is surprisingly dark for a potential children's movie where a girl's parents turn into pigs and she goes on a quest to change them back. Along the way, she makes both friends and enemies.

The Emperors New Groove

The story of a selfish dictator and some hilariously evil disgruntled employees.

Chicken Run

One fearless, clay-mated chicken dreams of escaping from the chicken coop and takes the other chickens with him.

Howl's Moving Castle

The story of a young girl who is cursed to live in the body of an old woman seeks help from her friend Howl, a sorcerer, who tries to cure her.

Treasure Planet

A young space treasure hunter finds a map to the universe's greatest treasure.

Robots

A young robot enters adulthood and heads to a new city on his own. Along the way, he makes new friends and uncovers an evil scheme.

Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron

Told from the point of view of a horse, this movie is the story of the domestication of wild horses. This movie also has one of the best soundtracks ever!

Honorable Mention: The Iron Giant

This is the story of a young boy who befriends a giant robot that the government wants to destroy. This movie was actually released in 1999 but it was one of my favorites as a kid. In fact my favorite quote "you are what you choose to be".

All of these movies are amazing and I would recommend watching every last one of them!

After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
