Learning To Forgive And Forget Is Essential To Living A Happy Fulfilling Life

We have all been there. We have all been wronged by someone. The question is how we choose to handle it. We are all created to make mistakes, some of those might barely make an impact, and some might make a huge one. One of our biggest flaws as humans is holding grudges. We blame the other person for so much, but if you choose to forgive and move on, you will benefit greatly.

I have had people in my life who have truly hurt me, but I choose to forgive those people because I know that wallowing in what could have been and how much that tore me apart, is gonna leave me in a sad and depressed state versus moving on with my life.

It is like a magic trick. Once you learn to forgive people, you will be so much happier and satisfied with your day to day life. It also makes you the bigger person. You gain respect from forgiving. It is a sign of your character. Staying positive and going on focusing on yourself is the best thing you can do.

Don't focus on others and drag yourself down. Obviously, care and be there when people need you, but do not let other people control your life, goals, and aspirations. There are certain things you can control, the main thing being yourself and then there are things that are out of your control, like other people.

Loving yourself is the greatest thing in life. You were made uniquely you for a reason. People come and go, but you will always be you. Don't forget to show yourself that you are worth it. No matter what happens, learning to continue to stay happy and forgive others is essential.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
