Dear 70s country,
Many may forget you, but I won't. 70s country you have taught me what it means to be a coal miners daughter. You have taught me what it means to be dirt poor and rise up a lady. You were what I breathed in growing up. You filled my lungs, overwhelmed my heart, and slipped into my soul.
You've set a standard for love by kissing an angel good morning. I refuse to be addressed other than by hello darling and the most beautiful girl in the world. Oh 70s country you taught me how to be a good hearted women.
You make me want to dance the night away, and I've got two left feet. Let's do the San Antonio stroll babe. You make me want to make them say, "She's acting single." You give life to my step and wings to my heart. I will always love you, but maybe it's' just a family tradition.
You can keep fishing in the dark and you can keep your exes in Texas. You can keep going with what is in style. As for me I'll take my 70s country any day of the week.
