My friends call me a young cat lady. It is true: I love my cat. I feel my friends would understand if they had a cat of their own. Here are three reasons why cats make the perfect significant other.

BUT THEY DO LISTEN!

Sometimes all you need is a bit of alone time and silence. This is totally feasible when you have a cat!

They are less expensive than a boyfriend or girlfriend.

Why spend so much extra money on a human being when you can spend a quarter of that on a cat? It's beyond me.

Cuddles.

Cat cuddles are hands down the best. My cat has been there after every 16-hour shift. It's like having a heated blanket.

Adopt a cat. You never know how much you'll love them.
