When you realize that you have a greater purpose to serve while on earth, life gets easier…
You find you passion, your drive, and the work ethic begins to grow so that your results match up to your expectations. Forget what others say about heard work. If you work hard at something you’re not passionate about, your just doing someone else’s job. Although some are able to take something that they may not be passionate about and turn it into profit, what I value doesn’t necessary have a price tag on it.
I value health and happiness.
Health and happiness goes hand in hand. One affects the other, thus making the two essential. Without good health, you will find yourself unhappy and drained of natural energy and strength. Without happiness, your health takes a major hit, with many who suffer from depression and loneliness are also at a higher risk to develop future health problems. Now don’t get it twisted, some form of revenue is better than no revenue at all; but does money determine success? Does overachieving at something that could potentially bring in millions worth in profits worth putting your health and happiness at risk?
I think not.
I get a lot of questions from people wanting to know what the fastest path to success is. This question often comes up not because of money, but because of age. Face it; with our new generation not nearly succeeding our parents, we have a want to not work past 50, and for some that number is way too high. We grew up watching the high life on TV, so it’s only natural because of the exposure to television and music to want the best cares, houses, and lots of money. Sure, hard work is needed to achieve these things; but everybody seems to be forgetting to ask themselves this question: what is your purpose; your end goal after all is said and done?
A question that seems to blow past all minds, but this question is an integral part of having success. Without a purpose, then there is no passion behind your drive to achieve your goals. When you find your purpose in life, no college in the world, no lack of money, and nobody can stand in your way from accomplishing your goals. If you don’t believe me, then ask Bill Gates. Accomplishing your goals does not mean you have to get lucky; you just have to be committed.
I you want my advice, take that job at McDonald’s, work at your cubicle, and don’t be ashamed about it. But what you can do is continue working on your passion and your purpose. A strong work ethic is fine when it’s used for the right reasons. So ask yourself this question: what’s your purpose for working at the job’s your working at now? Is it to just get money, or is it to work towards something greater. Never throw down your blessings, instead accept them and work hard to become a better version of yourself. And when you feel as if the circumstances are too great to overcome...
NEVER… GIVE… UP!!!
