To the man who should have lived forever

have you ever had someone you wished youd have forever?

65

To the man who should have lived forever,

You were kind. You were strong. You were bold. You were fearless. You were all things beautiful and simple. You are my grandpa.

We all have someone who comes into our lives and changes it forever. Somebody you look up to in hopes that one day you will be as successful in life as they were. Someone who impacts you so much that you think they are invincible until the day they pass away.

Death is inevitable but you never think it'll happen to someone who was a real life angel.

You should have lived forever.

You lived a long, eventful life and impacted every single person you ever met. Especially me. I would never gotten to experience being the president of my FFA chapter and my FFA district if it wasn't for your heroic life i wrote about in my speech. I was so nervous but i knew you were standing next to me.

I thought you walked on water

"If the story was told, only heaven knows. But his hat seemed to me like an old halo. And though his wings, they were never seen. I thought that he walked on water."

I would not be the person i am today without the legacy you left behind. When you were here you taught me to be strong and when you left you taught my heart how to be strong because i thought life without you wasn't possible but here i am today, living out my dream because i know for a fact that's all you wished for, is for your family to live out their dream.

We all have someone we wished lived forever because the world becomes so different when they leave. However, it's okay. They're up there loving and supporting you just as much as they were when they were here.

To the man who should have lived forever, i love you.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
