The Foreign Policy Challenges Facing America Right Now

It is fourteen years into a new era and with a new era come challenges for the U.S. and her foreign policies. This essay will be focusing on three of the most recent and probably the most important foreign policy challenges that face President Barack Obama, and how I would solve these important and dangerous issues that are guilty of innocent lives being taken and the horrific crimes against humanity. The two most important things that challenge America’s foreign policies include; I.S.I.S. and their attempts at over throwing the Syrian and Iraqi governments and North Korea’s test of nuclear missiles.

The first challenge facing America is I.S.I.S., I.S.I.S. stands for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and is an army privately funded and privately armed with the goal of returning Syria and Iraq to heavy Islamic ruled states. So far, I.S.I.S. is responsible for the execution of two news journalists, two foreign aid workers and many more, I.S.I.S. is out of control and could get their hands on serious fire power like nuclear weapons or cruise missiles. Currently President Obama has not set out a true strategy for I.S.I.S. and many were left speculating as to whether the President would initiate “Boots on the Ground” and many politicians are still debating whether to arm the Syrian rebels to help the combating of I.S.I.S. My strategy for dealing with this threat would be to first acknowledge that I.S.I.S. is a very real danger, the next step is to intervene and I would send military advisers to Syria and Iraq to help train the rebels only with the cooperation of al-Assad. Next step is assessing whether it is necessary to send American troops into the region and then our next step is to react to our assessment of the situation. Even though the President promised to send troops home I believe this is what caused all of this mess. By removing troops from the region we’ve simply taken an unstable region that had some order and turned it back on its head. We should not have pulled out and I don’t think removing Muammar Gaddafi was a good thing to do at the time. On top of this with the help of the U.N. all banks in the region should have shut down so that I.S.I.S. would lose funding. While all this is taking place I would crack down on recruiters in the country following the Constitution to the dot whilst doing so.

The next foreign policy is North Korea’s nuclear missile testing, North Korea will not stop and will not sleep until every American is wiped off the planet Earth. North Korea’s key to wiping us out is nuclear missiles and there isn’t much we can do to keep them from doing so because the U.N. sanctions on North Korea have not deterred North Korea. My foreign policy plan is to keep a close eye on North Korea and place heavier sanctions on the Country as well as place a blockade around North Korea choking the Country of food and water forcing Kim Jung Un to comply with the U.N.

With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, the same is true for foreign policy. With every action we take it increases tensions and threatens our national security and our interests. With I.S.I.S. it could cause tensions to increase, as well as more kidnappings and executions of news reporters. With I.S.I.S. the question is about the balance between risk and payoff and whether the payoff outweighs the risks in this case human life is the answer if we don’t intervene then people will continue to die if we do intervene I.S.I.S. could be exterminated but our troops would die as well not to mention how many civilians. As with North Korea, there really isn’t too much we can do, because whatever we do could be taken as a threat and we could be dragged into World War 3.

With a new era come new challenges and new threats the American way of life, in our darkest times Capitalism rose and dusted the dirt off itself. Freedom comes with a price and that price is life, when someone threatens our way of life we fight to protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. America being a beacon of hope and liberty should help other countries whose essential God given rights are being taken away from them.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.
