Do you feel like the world will not stop knocking you down no matter how hard you try to stand up? Do you feel as if no one will ever understand the way that you are feeling? Do you feel completely lonely? I am here to tell you, you are never alone.

Lonely is an adjective and the definition is sad because has no friends or company. It is easy to feel lonely, especially in college. You are always surrounded around friends all of the time and you are always having fun, but then when you have a stressful week at school and cannot do things with your friends you begin to feel like an outsider. Remember that just because your busy does not mean your friends would not be there for you in a moment. Just because you cannot go and do fun things does not mean that should stop them. Even though you sometimes feel lonely, abandoned, or worthless I promise you that you are not.

There are so many people on your side wanting you to do amazing things, than those who are not on your side. It is okay to feel lonely, but it is never OK to feel alone. You will never feel alone if you never forget about the amazing people in your life. You have to make others feel included to make yourself not feel alone. It is a giving process.

The next time you are feeling lonely, take a deep breath and remember there are people there for you.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
