At one point or another, someone will come into your life, and change it for the better. Sometimes they will come into your life and do the complete opposite. Sometimes, they do a little of both. They cause happiness but bring a lot of pain as well, they bring laughter but a lot of tears too, and yet for some reason you want to keep them around as long as possible.

This is a letter, to the person who was strong enough to let go, and the person who is still trying to find that strength.

This is for the person that spent more time questioning their happiness rather than living their life to the fullest.

This is for the person that wanted love and happiness in the best way, but was willing to accept them anyway at all.

This is for the person who deserves the very best in life, but never had someone to give it to you.

This is for the person who decided to take it for themselves.

You are strong. Your life does not exist because of that person, you are your own being, your own happiness and your own memories. You are not the darkness that they have brought into your life, you are the light that shone before and during their presence. You are the rainbow after the storm, better yet: YOU ARE THE STORM. People can sense your strength, they can see your soul, and they find beauty in your power.

You are not the person that they made you out to be. You set your own limits, you create your own rules and you live your own life. You do not have to live by the decisions that were once made for you, you can change your life at any given time.

There is nothing in this world that can hold you back. You can change the world with your words, your actions, your hopes and dreams! Nobody in this world is worth your future, they aren't worth your ability to prosper and strive. They aren't worth your soul being stripped away and altered into what they want it to be.

Be strong. Be yourself, allow yourself to live a life that consists of happiness and love. No amount of pain is worth it, especially from someone who doesn't respect you enough to love you exactly the way you are. Be amazing, be the person you were put on this earth to be! Be everything you that you have ever dreamed of being! You are only limited by yourself, there is nothing else in this world that limits you, especially not another person.

We have times in our lives when a person comes in and makes some sort of difference, whether negative or positive, they make some kind of change. That change does not have to be permanent. Life is forever changing, you are forever changing, growing, maturing, living.

This is for the person who is ready for change, for the person who is ready to start new, for the person who is ready to be someone other than the person they once were.

Go ahead, your time is now, your time is tomorrow, your time is yours. Use it wisely.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
