While there are various options on campus for meals, from the cafeteria to various smaller spaces, sometimes none of those cut it. And, within walking distance there are various restaurants and eateries, plus one could always order delivery. But, sometimes walking anywhere seems like too big of a task. And, you just are not in the mood for eating the same wrap again. Plus, you are broke so a real restaurant is not an option. So, here is where the top dorm room dinners come in, complete with tricks to even make them better.
4. Ramen or Easy Mac
These dishes are the classic college student go-tos. I personally strongly dislike Easy Mac, but am a big fan of Ramen. To make Ramen easier, I microwave a mug of water and then put the Ramen in, and just stir it around. I know most people, however, pour the ingredients into the water and then microwave it. If you do that, do NOT forget the water. Nobody likes fire alarms going off at 1 AM.
3. ALL of the Target Brand frozen snacks
The Target Brand Frozen Appetizers are a way of life. Walking through the aisle fills me with happiness as I pick out Buffalo chicken bites and all the other beautiful appetizers that you can microwave.
Life Hack: Keep a bottle of blue cheese and/or ranch in your fridge.
2. Pizza rolls/pizza bagels/pizza bites/pizza products
While the caf does offer pizza, it is not exactly your top notch slice. So, since pizza is probably one of the most important meals of the day, stocking up on pizza products is necessary, and makes any night better. Sometimes I store my pizza rolls in the fridge instead of the freezer which seems to cut down on cooking time.
1. Anything Your Mom Made
My neighbor has an extremely large container of salsa sitting in her fridge that her Mom made her and I am extremely jealous. Because whether it is salsa or cookies, it is automatically 1000000 times better knowing your mom made it. One of my friends is currently trying to convince her mom that paying the overnight shipping cost is worth it when it comes to her Mom's banana bread. I plan on bringing food back to school from home during break and storing it in my freezer.
How can you improve it? You can't. It's already perfect.
