As a happy owner of a Welsh corgi (Linus) my bias is clearly going to show through here. There is no cuter creature that has ever graced this planet we refer to as earth. My love for my dog is unmatched in passion. He may be vicious at times, but at the end of the day, when he curls up into a little ball next to me in bed, I forgive him for his sins and grace him with my love all over again. To celebrate my love for my dog and corgis worldwide, here are 11 insights into the complex nature and existence of the undeniably superior Welsh corgi.

1. Corgis have approximately 3 or 4-inch legs

It only seems natural to have extended sympathy for these mammals that waddle around on such short legs. Life is hard enough. Try living it on stubby legs.

2. Corgis have no tails (because humans cut them off)

Yes, it may be cruel to tie an elastic band around a puppy’s tail in order to remove it, but this makes the breed distinctly unique. Now, when my dog is happy, he wags the little leftover "stub." It looks like a bunny tail and gets me every time. Voluptuous butts though.

3. Corgi puppies are even tinier than normal puppies

Observe this photograph in which my corgi puppy stands next to my full-grown labrador. Oh so cute.

4. Queen Elizabeth has corgis!

The herding breed originated in Wales after all.

5. Corgis think they are tougher than their size calls for

Confidence is a curse in this sense. I see my corgi bully my lab (who is twice his weight) all the time. He should really stick to picking on those his own size…

6. There are Instagram accounts dedicated to documenting the lives of the specific members of the breed

Here are a few examples: @Corgistagram, @ThreeCorgis and @ralphthecorgi7

7. Corgi owners have organized corgi meet-ups!

This is my personal fantasy. Aka, corgis at every turn.

8. Corgis can be named almost anything

My dream is to name any future corgi of mine Edward. My corgi now is named Linus. You could probably name a corgi Noodle and it would still work. Nothing beats versatility. Also, here is my Linus, nicknamed Beanie, in the snow.

9. Corgis will protect you (from yourself and others)

Sometimes my corgi gets a look in his eye like he is judging me. He probably is and I don’t blame him. He also barks at everything, so I know when someone is coming to kill me.

10. Corgis are photogenic

Observe the above photograph (feat. my own corgi).

11. Corgis will love you to the end

A lover and a friend. There is nothing more I could ever ask for.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
