To the insecure girls:
Life is probably quite difficult for you right now. You may feel hated, used, or worthless. You may feel like you are not good enough. If all of these are true, then you most likely do not feel confident. The truth is that none of these are the truth. You have been fed lies, and they need to disappear from your mind!
Every girl has felt insecure at some point in her life. I mean, every girl who has ever walked the earth. Even the first woman on this earth was insecure. In the first three chapters of Genesis, Eve was the first woman to live on this earth. Even though she was the only woman and had nobody else to compare herself to, she had feelings of insecurity. When the enemy tempts her to eat the forbidden fruit, he tells Eve that she would be like God if she ate the fruit. The enemy makes Eve feel insecure by implying that she is not good enough, so she eats the fruit. The enemy likes to make us feel insecure because it makes us vulnerable. Insecurity is very real and normal, and it affects every girl.
Please know that you are beautiful, inside and out. Please, please don't ever forget this. I feel like so many girls do not feel like they are beautiful, and it is the source of the lack of confidence. You are beautiful no matter what you do or how you look. If you do not feel beautiful or confident, act like you feel the opposite. Pretend you are confident. It may seem weird, but it works. If you fake it until you make it, then you eventually become more confident. I have held my head up high even when I didn't want to, and it automatically made me feel more confident.
You are the daughter of the one true King. If people have constantly made you feel unworthy, please know that God said that you are worth it. Goodness, He loves you so much. He created you in His perfect image! Why wouldn't He love you? He made you just the way He wanted you to be. You are a beloved daughter of the King, and don't be afraid to show it. You have a light of Christ, so let it show.
You are loved.
You were made for a purpose.
You were made perfect in His image.
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:14
