For The Girls Who Think They’ll Never Find Love

Life has a way of working itself out.

I know way too many girls and young women, including myself, that think they will never find love. I mean we have it in our heads that someday, maybe not right now, but someday we are going to find love. Whether that be our prince charming or our princess. Girls and young women everywhere want to find love and if they don’t find it right away, then *dramatic sigh* “I’ll forever be alone. I’ll never find love.”

If you’re lucky, you will find love, but be patient. I know you’ve heard this a million times, but love comes when we least expect it and just waiting for it to happen is a waste of time. If you wait around just hoping for something to happen, you’ll have missed out on so many things in life. Maybe even the love of your life. So, don’t sit around waiting for your prince or princess to come and sweep you off your feet. They may be waiting too, and then where does that put you? Never meeting your love.

It may be harsh, but live your life. I would love to find love and meet the person I’m supposed to spend the rest of my life with, but I’m not going to meet them just waiting for it to happen. You could find love in class, at work, at the store, in a bar, at the movies, literally anywhere.

But, what if you don’t? Well that’s ok too. You keep on loving yourself and living your life to the fullest. Maybe your life plan just doesn’t include love and that’s ok because loving someone else doesn’t define who you are. Loving someone else can add to who you are and make you feel complete, but maybe you’re already complete. So complete with the love of yourself, your family, and friends that you don’t need a new addition.

In the end, you will find love or you won’t. Either way, your life is the way it is meant to be. With or without your prince or princess. So be patient and love life. Love yourself. Make memories and have adventures. You never know what could happen.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
