You Need To Buy "For The Girls" Before Your Next Ladies' Night

I'm a social butterfly. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you I am always down for a party or get-together of some type. I can't believe it took so long for my girls and me to discover 'For The Girls'. This card game can be played at any type of event, whether it's formal or lowkey: pregames, bachelorette parties, sleepovers, and literally any other time you and the girls feel like ditching the guys for a ladies' night.

It's an adult party game, so things can definitely get a little dirty. But not all the cards are about sex or hookups, so you're bound to have a fun mix of naughty and nice. You'll also get a chance to discover the wild side of even the most innocent of your friends.

It's such a simple game, with easy-to-follow instructions and the ability to play with as many people as you want. Plus, you can always add drinking to the game if that's your style; for example, you can take a shot every time you learn something new about someone.

So, there are five types of cards, organized by color. Players roll a colored die to figure out which type of card to draw. For example, if they roll the color purple, they have to draw a purple card. If they roll the color black, they get to choose whichever card they'd like.

The categories of the cards along with their respective colors are as follows: purple as "Never Have I Ever", blue as "Most Likely To", pink as "Truth or Dare", green as "Best of the Best", and orange as "Rapid Fire". You're always going to read your card aloud for all to hear.

If you draw a "Never Have I Ever" card, whether or not you keep the card depends on the action. If you have done the action, you keep the card. If you have not done the action, you can put it at the bottom of the pile. The last time my friends and I played, if the person who drew the card hadn't done the action but only one other person in the group had done it, that person kept the card.

If you draw a "Most Likely To" card, you have to give the card to whoever the card applies to most. For example, if the card says "Most Likely To… accidentally drunk call their mom", you'd give the card to the player who would most likely accidentally call their mom when they're drunk.

The "Truth or Dare" cards are pretty self-explanatory. If you draw a "truth" card, you get to keep it if you answer truthfully. If you don't answer, you put the card back in the bottom of the pile. I guess you could always give the card to another player who is willing to answer the truth. For a "dare" card, you have to complete the action in order to keep the card. If you don't, you have to put the card back in the pile. Again, you could always give the card to someone else who is willing to complete the action.

The "Best of the Best" cards are a hoot. When someone draws this card, they must give it to the player it belongs to. For example, if the card says "Whoever… has the hottest dad", you would give the card to whoever has a DILF for a father.

Lastly, the "Rapid Fire" cards are where things can get crazy. When this type of card is chosen, you must go around the circle giving examples of the category on the card. For example, if the card is titled, "forms of exercise", everyone will say a form of exercise. You keep going around the circle, each person giving new forms of exercise; you cannot repeat answers. If someone can't name a new form of exercise in about five seconds, they're out of the round. The last person standing gets to keep the card.

The object of the game is to collect as many cards as you can throughout the duration of the game. The best part is that you can finish literally whenever you girls want, such as when your Uber arrives, when the Bachelor is about to start, or when you're all about to pass out.

Girls should always support girls, so judgment should be left out of the game. This game can be as wild or tame as you ladies wish, making it fun for everyone. Bring this game the next time you and the girls get together to upgrade the classic ladies' night!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
