To my younger brother and sister,

I want to write this to thank you both for keeping me sane. Having two younger siblings is such a treasure and I am so honored to be your big sister. You both have taught me so many lessons and have given me responsibilities I wouldn't trade for the world. Being the big sister to the both of you is the best title I will ever receive.

You may not know it, but when either of you hurt; I hurt. I find it to be my job to look after you and to make sure you're as happy as you can be. I care about the both of you so much and I want nothing but greatness for you. Every time you two do something amazing, I am glowing with joy and I am so proud. And okay, we may fight sometimes – maybe more times than others. But I wouldn't trade our moments together for anything.

I love watching my brother play video games and just chatting away about small things like how he plans on winning his next MLB game. I love going to the playground with my little sister and watching her as she shows me her newest tricks from gymnastics. The times that we spend together are what I treasure the most.

I just want the both of you to know, that I will always look out for you. If you ever feel like nobody will listen to you, or you feel lonely; do not hesitate to come and talk with me. I know that since I've been away at college I haven't been around as much. But, I will always be a phone call or car ride away. Our age differences will never change the fact that I will always be here to listen. I promise to always look out for your best interests and to never stop loving either of you.

I want to thank my younger sister, who is five, for always wanting to spend time with me. The big smile you have each time we see each other is something I will always cherish. Coloring with you and following you around playgrounds are just a few of the many things I love doing with you.

I also want to thank my younger brother, who is seventeen, for always listening to me when I need someone to talk too. You're not too much younger than me, and you've officially gotten taller than me, but I will always consider you to be my baby brother. Watching you play baseball and bonding over video games we both like are moments I will always cherish.

Thank you both for always loving me and for being such amazing siblings. I love you both so much.

Love,

Your very proud big sister.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
