Dearest Little,

Thank you for taking a chance with Alpha Omicron Pi. It was your confidence and your willingness to be apart of something greater than yourself that I was able to find you. In just the short few days after meeting you I knew I wanted you as my Little. Something about your sweet and quiet demeanor reminded me of myself. I knew right then that we would get along great! In the beginning we didn't know each other well, it took a Little time for our relationship to take off, but it was good. I knew we just both needed some time to open up, and get more comfortable. But as soon as the comfort clicked our relationship grew into something neither of us were prepared for. Suddenly before I knew it we had become so close, we learned that we are so much more alike than we thought! We are positive and caring with a Little bit of a wild side that shines through once in a while. I watched you grow in your new member journey and I was lucky enough to grow by your side. We were Founders of our Fraternity's chapter from the colony stages to the first new member class we did this together. We grew together. I saw you connect with sisters and learn our rituals just as I did before you. I am blessed to have been by your side throughout your journey, and I'm so very thankful that I get to call you my Little for life. You are such a wonderful person and you have accomplished so much in your short time at Tarleton. Because I've watched you do all you do for our school, you have shown me that I can be confident and do things I will set out to accomplish. You are a strong woman and you care and you put your all into everything you do. It shows in you that you represent yourself well. I know you will continue to shine throughout your time in college. I wish that Alpha Omicron Pi came into our lives sooner so that I could spend the time you deserve with your big. We had so many great times together and we were able to learn so much about each other. I know you will always be a special part of my life. You are someone I know I can count on for a life time and I know I will cherish you forever. I so desperately wish I could be able to be there for you at each and every event and each every get together throughout the rest of your time in AOII. I hate that I found you so late in my college career. But believe me just because I have graduated does not mean I won't be back to visit and to support as much as possible. I will be there for you always, my dear precious Little.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
