My mother is special.
No one else I know holds a candle to the love that I feel for you. Our relationship isn't always perfect and I know that I can be a real pain in the ass, but I never mean to cause you any stress.
On your birthday, let me name some of the ways and the reasons that I love you.
I love that you listen to me vent and you give the best advice.
You listen and listen and listen until I have told you every single detail about my day. Somehow you always know the right words to make me feel better. And the times when you don't, you try your absolute best and it always shows. Sometimes the things you do for me aren't done with words. I appreciate so much how you rub my head when I have a headache and how you take care of me when I'm sick.
I love the way that you help me with my hair. When I straighten it, there's always a spot in the back I just can never seem to get. You make sure to tell me how pretty I look. I always try to tell you the same thing because it's true. You are the definition of beauty, grace, and kindness, and I could not be more blessed that you passed all of that down to me.
I love that you taught me all of your values.
Values that you hold dear, I do too. Honesty, loyalty, dependability. I try my best to uphold all of them. I try because you make me want to be a better person. You inspire me. I want to be the best person I can be because I want people to think that I'm as amazing as you.
Mom, you are my constant inspiration. My forever best friend. God could not have blessed me with a better mother. I'm sorry that I'm not always the perfect daughter, but I will try my hardest in the next couple of years to become the person you always hoped I would turn out to be.
I hope that one day soon, I make you proud of me. I can't wait to hug you as soon as I can after I graduate next year.
I love you beyond what words can say. I could not have asked for a better mother.
On your birthday, Mom, I love you infinitely.
Love forever, your twin and "mini-me."
