Because you inspire me.

Well, here it is. The article I promised you. An article all about you.

I'm so thankful you let me sit with you on the swings that day in first grade. Can you believe that was almost two decades ago? Since then we have experienced so many things together. Concerts, relationships, late night convos, all nighters, late night Wesco and Mcdonald's runs, and wine nights. You're truly such an amazing friend.

I don't know what I would do without you. I'm so thankful to have someone like you who is brutally honest. If I pick out a haircut or outfit and ask you about it I know that you would be completely honest with me. You're not afraid to hurt my feelings if you know it's in the best interest for me. I love the fact that I can call you at three in the morning and know that you'll be there no matter the circumstances. You make sure to remind me that I have dealt with so many things in my life and that it's okay to reflect on them and feel weak sometimes.

You are undeniably one of the funniest people I have ever met in my life. Whether you're chasing the puppies around and screaming or yelling random things at people while we drive past them you never fail to make me laugh. I'm so thankful that I have you whenever I need a laugh. I could be in the worst mood possible (like that day I punched the hole in the door...oops) and know that I can always count on you to turn the situation into a joke.

I also love the deeper, more intellectual side of you. When we sit out in the car and talk for hours because there's just too much happening. I know that I can count on you to be there when I need a realistic point of view. When I need my heads out of the clouds, if you will.

Life can be changed in an instant, but you're the one thing that has always been consistent and for that alone I am grateful.

Thank you for being my best friend. I love you.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
