Well folks, it’s about that time. Football Sundays are back in action. It’s the day where fans from all over are on the edge of their seats coaching their television on what they think good football looks like. “Come on guys, punch it in. No turnovers.” “Can we please look like we at least know how to throw a football?” or “My grandma can throw better than that!” are all phrases you’d hear from your die-hard football fans. An intense four hours, clammy hands, and lots of buffalo chicken dip to ease the frustration preoccupy our Sunday afternoons until we can finally rest in a sweet victory.

There are a multitude ways the beloved sport is celebrated throughout the season. Each fan club acquires their own football Sunday. I know your asking yourself, I need to know what this girl’s football Sunday looks like because you love reading my articles. Well fear not, your wish is my command. Here are a few of my favorite things football Sunday’s and the season brings:

1. Screaming at the TV like you know what you're talking about

I like to yell random things at the T.V. to make it know that I like football, but the problem is I don’t know what I’m talking about half the time. But I find if you yell and you yell when other people yell, they tend to think you do, and eventually you become adopted into the football wolf pack.

2. Buffalo Chicken Dip

The tasty goodness of buffalo chicken dip is essential to have. All you need is two cans of shredded chicken, a small bag of shredded cheddar cheese, one package (2 blocks) of cream cheese, the amount of desire Frank’s Red Hot, and a cup of Ranch. Mix all those simple ingredients to not only fill your stomach with a delicious snack but also perfect your day of football.

3. Being With Family

Nothing feels more comfortable than when your screaming at a T.V. while eating good food with the people you find the coolest. Family is the most fun when you’re bonding on the most relaxing day of the week (that’s if your not counting the frustration of the game).

4. Meeting Random Strangers

Have you ever noticed that when you confidently wear your jersey around people who don’t even know you give you the upmost respect? You get the classic, “Hey. Did you see the game last night?” In a few minutes, you’re laughing and freaking out over that one play that one guy made that one game, and now it seems as though you and this person have been best friends for years. Yeah, football does that.

5. The Belief

Lastly, it’s funny how football creates the “die-hard” belief inside you. It’s amazing how one team can make you feel so much. The belief in your team and the belief in your city grows more than ever. The victory becomes one of your fondest memories and the players become like brothers. The team becomes almost like a second family.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
