As the spring semester begins and I prepare to be living in the dorm life once again, a major part of my life becomes quite different... my food life. At home many of us experience home-cooked meals, "free" food, healthier snacks... and well, an all around healthier diet. But coming back to school I realize that is all about to change again. Here's some of the foods you'll find in your dorm, or should at least consider putting in your dorm!
1. Milk
This may not be accurate for everyone but I personally go through about a gallon per week... at least. As the list goes on, it will make more sense.
2. Chips
Lay's potato chips, Doritos, Fritos, pretzels, Cheetos... The list goes on. All chips are great for a midnight snack & study.
3. Cereal
This is one reason milk is always a necessity. Cereal is appropriate at all times of the day. No matter what kind.
4. Peanut Butter
Peanut butter is usually best suited with bread and jelly. Bananas or apples are healthy options too. But if you're a typical college student, none of these things are necessary... A spoon and jar of peanut butter will work just fine.
5. Granola Bars
Wake up late to the sound of your stomach saying you should've woken up earlier? Not a problem, just grab a bar and eat it on the way. This is probably the healthier of options, anyway.
6. Popcorn
Popcorn is quick, easy, and great for movie nights with friends. Just don't be the dick who sets the alarm off at 3 A.M.
7. Box Macaroni & Cheese
Boxed macaroni & cheese - there isn't much better than that. Once again, the milk is coming in handy.
8. Pizza Rolls
So glad I brought a mini fridge that has a freezer... They are easy and delicious. There is never going wrong with pizza rolls.
9. Chocolate
Chocolate is perfect for every occasion. Plus if you're a girl like me, there will come a time, at least once a month, when you will regret not having a supply of chocolate in the dorm.
10. Ramen
Great for cold days, easy to make, and they take longer than most things to get sick of. Ramen noodles are great.
11. Cookies
Saving the best for last and once again, milk is a necessity.
