Now as it is, San Diego is well known for its diversity of awesome food. So why just stop at just popular menu dishes and go for broke on greater things... namely food challenges!

Brian's 24 - The Pancake Monster Challenge

Five buttermilk pancakes layered with four strips of bacon, two sausage patties, an eight-ounce ham steak and an eight-ounce country fried steak, topped with three eggs any style, all on a bed of home fries. If you can finish it by yourself in under an hour, it’s on the house! Risk: $31.99.

OB Noodle House- Pho 20 Challenge

Eat a spectacular Pho meal that has two pounds of noodles and two pounds worth of meat--not to mention a pint of IPA! It's on the house and you get a free t-shirt if you finish it in under 42 minutes!Risk: $24.99

Luigi's At The Beach - 30-inch Pizza Challenge


Two people, one hour, 30 inches of pizza. There are no bathroom breaks, no throwing up, no leftovers, no leaving. If you do well it'll be on the house with a free t-shirt. Are you up to the challenge?

Deli Sushi & Desserts - Monster Sushi Roll Challenge

A single monster sushi roll is equivalent to eight rolls. You have 15 minutes and a whole lot of water to do this challenge. Completing it means getting free water and your face on the "Wall of Fame!"Risk: $30 and your face on the "Wall of Shame..." at least the water's still free!

TT's Burger Challenge - Crazy Goose Bar &Lounge

This burger is two pounds made of Angus beef, it has 10 strips of wood-smoked bacon, one pound of onion rings, two deep fried pickle spears, cheddar cheese, provolone cheese, topped with house made garlic aioli, their world famous "Meet Your Maker" hot sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion. It is then served with one pound of seasoned fries. If you eat it in under eight minutes it's free along with your name on the wall of flame! (No one has been crazy enough to do the challenge, unfortunately. But here is a stand-in photo of their burger in the meantime.)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
