1. Plan out your days ahead
Planning out your day the night before will help you from getting stressed out or falling into bad habits. When you plan something as simple as your outfit for the next day there will be no need to be rushing and running late to your engagements. As well as packing a healthy lunch, you will not need to go through a fast food drive-thru the day of.
2. Do your dreadful deed first
Instead of stalling and waiting till the last minute to do difficult tasks, it would be a lot easier to get them out of the way prior to any other activities. Research has shown that we are our most sharp in the mornings so tacking our most difficult task is clever to do prior to any other engagement so that we can relax and not be thinking about it the whole day.
3. Get rid of your distraction
In this generation, we can get easily distracted with our iPhone and advertisements that pop up on our laptops, but not answering them shows how strong we can be. I know myself and I can literally not do anything if I see my phone getting a million and one notifications popping up every five seconds. So, when I go to the library or study room I typically put my phone aside, so I can be able to focus.
4. Take breaks here and there
Obviously, do not take "breaks" that will last you hours upon hours, but when it comes to a study break rest your mind by going out to lunch with your study buddy or even taking a nap is fine as well. If you feel your energy going away and your losing track of time that is when you know it is time to go, take that break you so desperately need!
5. GOALS GOALS GOALS
One thing that will motivate you is your end goal for sure. We are all doing this for a purpose whether if it is to go to your dream school, to get your degree, or simply just to do good in your classes there will always be an end goal at the end of the day. Creating a vision board to see and be constantly reminded of why you are busting your butt will help motivate you on a daily basis.
Hope these few tips help you on this upcoming Spring semester, wish you the best of luck and remember to stay focused!
