What does a snow leopard have to do with your fashion choices this winter? Easy. National Geographic attributes only the fiercest qualities to a snow leopard. "These rare, beautiful gray leopards, are insulated by thick hair, and their fur-covered feet act as natural snowshoes." Sign me up! That's exactly what we need this winter: gray, thick layers, [faux] fur boots...oh my!

Let's talk about these fur vests on the rage. Warm and fashionable, the ultimate tool for winter. Stick a simple long-sleeve or turtleneck underneath, and you'll be the warmest walking piece of fashion.

"But, can I pull off this fur vest," you ask? YES. ABSOVESTLY. Dress it down with your favorite comfortable jeans, or flirt it up with black, leather leggings. Don't forget the booties. Your booties are an imperative tool to get you through the winter.

Black-on-black is a great outfit to keep in your back pocket for every day of the week. Black outfits to winter is Shawn Booth (Bachelorette "winner" 2015) to workout posts. Black long sleeve, black leather jacket, black jeans, black booties...the perfect set.

For those of you suffering in the arctic tundra like me...a pair of snow boots is your best friend. Dance very carefully on the line of fashionable and practical. For example, a neon pink pair of boots might not match that many outfits, however, white might do the trick!

When you're not wearing black, add in some soft, warm and bright outfits. The warm colors against white snow will make your eyes, hair and smile pop. HELLO eye-contact with your crush. That's right, you'll be excited to face the cold just to show off your outfit. People will see you and think, "is that a real life snow leopard?" You'll do your snow panther strut past them and they'll confirm that, indeed, you are.

This faux-fur trend is everything this winter. Like, drop-your-Starbucks-Flat-White-Latte-to-free-your-hands-and-grab-every-item-you-can everything. Whites, browns, blacks, pinks, blues, you name it. You know the drill, layer it up and do your snow leopard strut.

Just remember, Emma Roberts did it, so you can, too. Confidence is key. So, suit up, you snow panthers. Winter is here.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
