Who Cares What Other People Your Age Are Doing

Oh, some of your best friends are happily engaged and are the same age as you? Good for them, your time will come.

Most of the people you graduated high school with have already graduated college and now have grown up jobs? That's awesome, some people just prefer to go at their own pace.

Regardless of what everyone is doing around you, do not focus on that or compare your life to theirs.

I am speaking on this topic because I have been one to compare where I am at in life to others around me.

It is almost as if I am running out of time.

It is funny because I am only 20 years old. However, in reality, I feel like the new 20 is the new 30.

Lately, there have been so many people my age getting married, moving in with their significant others, or getting pregnant.

Obviously, I could not imagine doing/having either of those things right now, but I feel like I should be at that point in my life.

By all means, I am happy for those who have found the love of their life and are ready settle down and start a family of their own. It was their time for that, and I can promise that our time will come too; When we are ready and the time is right.

However, I know that there is no rush because I literally have my whole life ahead of me and so do you.

Whether or not you say that you are "getting old", I can promise there are still big plans to come for your life regardless of what you think.

You have the rest of your life ahead of you and so many amazing things are going happen throughout the years.

So enjoy the moments of your life right now and quit trying to rush to plan the rest of your life because you feel like you have to.

Be happy for those around you. Also, be patient and excited knowing that your time will come!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
