Focus On You

Stop comparing yourself to others.

Focus On You

I cannot stress enough how important it is to only focus on yourself. Now I'm not saying not to care about friends or family and not help them; what I'm saying is to not constantly compare your life to others. I feel as though so many people try to portray the best version of their lives on social media. Rarely do people post when they're having a hard time or something isn't going well. People tend to only post the good. There is no problem with only posting the good unless you're someone who lets what other people do determine how well you are living your life. You can't tell from social media how happy someone truly is. It may look like they have a wonderful life going out with friends a lot and doing things, but you don't get to see the personal fights and obstacles that they also may face. I'm here to tell you it's not healthy to care too much about others and compare theirs lives to how your life is. Everyone has their own stories and their own good and bad days. I have recently deleted my Snapchat temporarily, and I feel so much more at peace not seeing what everyone else is doing or posting. Whenever you choose to stay in and do homework instead of going to a party but then see your friends posting about the party you're going to feel like you're missing out. With this app deleted I never know what anyone else is doing in that exact moment. They don't need to know what I'm up to all the time just like I don't need to know what they're up to all the time. We catch ourselves comparing everyone else to ourselves without even realizing it. Try your best to really just focus on yourself. I promise you it will lead you to a more positive and happy lifestyle.

If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
