In my opinion, Fall Out Boy is the greatest pop-punk band there is. Their lyrics make so little sense that they make perfect sense and their anthem-style songs can motivate any listener, which makes them the perfect band to tune in to during finals. Whether it's the beginning, middle or end of finals, I am positive there is an FOB song that can help rejuvenate you. Here are some of their greatest hits that will help you hone in on all of your stages of finals grief and turn them into something better, maybe even something productive!

1. "Forth of July"

"You and I were fireworks that went off too soon."

Off their newest album American Beauty/American Psycho, Fall Out Boy has found the perfect lyric to capture how we all feel about the beginning of finals: It all started too soon. We weren't ready. We're never ready. And look at that kid's face on the album cover. He knows what we're going through.

2. "I Don't Care"

"The best of us can find happiness in misery."

This sassy hit off Folie à Deux (circa 2008) captures our sentiments about finals exactly. We don't want to care about them, but we have to, so we try and find some kind of happiness in the bitterness of it all to keep us going.

3. "Novocaine"

"Because they took our love and they filled it up, filled it up with novocaine and now I'm just numb."

This one is for when you've been looking at the computer screen for seven hours straight and you can't feel your face anymore.

4. "Dance, Dance"

"She said she's no good with words but I'm worse."

We all have that friend who says that their papers are horrible and that they can't write. All of our responses are, "Yeah, okay, but my paper is definitely worse." So what if I'm taking this chart topper from the 2005 album From Under The Cork Tree a little out of context? We're all just falling apart at half-time, anyway.

5. "Alone Together"

"I don't know where I'm going but do you got room for one more troubled soul?"

This song, which is from my favorite album Save Rock and Roll, is the epitome of how we feel at the end of finals. We don't know what we're doing and we're all tired and troubled. We may feel alone but we always have each other (and FOB) to help get us through the hard times.

Let the jazzy-rock vocals of Patrick Stump heal you as you complete your finals. Fall Out Boy is here for you and they always will be, as long as they keep pumping out amazing hits like these!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
