After 3 years of patience and anticipation, Florence + The Machine finally released their fourth studio album called High as Hope on June 26, 2018. Known for their alternative sound, Florence Welch has captured the hearts of many with her strong vibrato and powerhouse voice. With a sickening range, Welch has never disappointed with her magical lyrics of love, pain, nostalgia, and growth. High as Hope is a 10 song discography which each song telling a story of its own. Welch claims that this album is her most personal dealing with themes of loneliness, struggle, and identity. Welch promised fans that this album would stay true to the band's authentic sound. With listening to the album twice in one seating, I can attest to Welsh keeping her promise.

With being a fan of Florence since her dog days, I was overwhelmingly excited for my favorite artist in the entire world to release an album. I knew I could never be disappointed. Florence Welsh is the true manifestation and power of Virgo energy. Her spirituality is evident in anything she touches. With the single of the album "Hunger," the visuals in the music video were ethereal. The song was raw and honest as Welch sings about the pain of being hungry for something within your life. With listening to Florence + The Machine in pivotal moments of my adolescence, I have grown an appreciation towards the band for their relatable and calming music. With their new album, I have compiled my favorite lyric from each song. This album is a must listen. It is emotional, honest, and spiritual. Personally, I believe it is Welsh's masterpiece and one of her best works.

Grace:

"And you, you are the one I treated the worst. Only because you loved me the most."

June:

"And those heavy days in June, when love became an act of defiance."

Hunger:

"We never found the answer, but we knew one thing. We all have a hunger."

South London Forever:

"I wanna space to watch things grow, but did I dream too big? Do I have to let it go?"

Big God:

"I still like you the most, You'll always be my favorite ghost."

Sky Full of Song:

"Grab me by my ankles I've been flying for too long, I couldn't hide from the thunder in a sky full of song."

Patricia:

"With your big heart, you praise God above but how's that working out for you, honey? Do you feel loved?"

100 years:

"Let me hold it lightly, give me arms to pray with instead of ones that hold too tightly."

The End of Love:

"And I've always been in love with you could you tell it from the moment that I met you?"

No Choir:

"But the loneliness never left me I always took it with me but I can put it down in the please of your company."

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
