At what point do human beings feel that they have reached that level of being satisfied? When humans feel that they are in a good spot and they have everything they need out of life or everything that they've wanted. Does that feeling really happen or are we just constantly floating around in this place we call life?
The good and bad days are what define our nature and how we continue to go about our livelihoods. If we're having a good day, then we produce good feelings. If we're having a bad day...well, you get what I'm trying to say.
Feeling in this constant state of questioning your purpose in life can have you imagine what could've gone differently. What if you took Path A rather than Path B. Do you think you would have been more satisfied with the outcome? Probably, but the path you took is probably the path you have to continue on until you work yourself out of that one and get onto the next path that you prefer.
There's a certain age where people believe that you have to be fully grounded and have everything figured out, and I'd like to say that might as well be nonexistent. Whether that's an unpopular opinion, then very well. Yet, as I observe others I realize that no one really has everything figured out. That they are in this constant motion of floating around just like you may feel like yourself.
They may seem like they have everything figured out and you keep telling yourself that, but do they? Are they any different from you and the path that they are trying to figure out?
Perhaps everyone desires more than where they are. Even some of the best authors and artists want that. You see them coming out with the next book or the next song because they want to produce bigger and better things for themselves, and the surrounding people.
Maybe there is no defining point where human beings just stop wanting things, and if there is, then maybe they really are content with what's around them. There are most certainly things in life that are great, and what's not to be content when you've done what you believe is good for you?
Being in this constant state of floating and not feeling grounded is the most aggravating thing though. Feeling like you've worked hard to get to a certain point in your life that you know will contain much more adventure and figuring things out, can leave a person feeling empty-handed as though everything they've done has gone to waste. Then the question of purpose comes into play.
Despite the questioning thoughts of purpose, we do have some kind of purpose on this Earth. That's something I really do believe. However, the search for that purpose and whether or not it actually exists starts to overwhelm your senses and everything can become indistinguishable.
So maybe feeling like you're constantly floating around in this thing called life is exhausting, and maybe it's going to take awhile before you finally fill fully grounded. To finally feel as though you're actually getting to this point of knowing what you are doing and where exactly you are going.
