Thanksgiving is an American holiday celebrated across the country. Although Thanksgiving is filled with countless traditions, nothing has brought America together like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has since 1924.
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade falls on Thanksgiving Day every year and is located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. America's favorite holiday tradition is broadcasted from 9:00 AM to noon in all time zones on NBC's Today with anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, and Al Roker. This year's parade is the 90th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and will be filled with iconic floats, broadway shows, bands, and featured performances. Apart from over ten thousand active participants, more than 50 million people nationwide will be watching the parade LIVE.
One of the most anticipated parts of the parade has always been the gigantic balloons that float through New York City. Here are some of the most iconic and highly-anticipated balloons you have to see:
New and Returning Character and Novelty Balloons
Spongebob Squarepants
Charlie Brown (second version with kite)
Snoopy (Peanuts)
Greg Heffley (The Diary of a Wimpy Kid)
Pillsbury Doughboy
Scrat and his acorn (Ice Age)
Ronald McDonald
Felix the Cat (second version returning from 1930)
Angry Bird
Red Candy Cane

Girl Scouts "Being a Better World," Trixie the Dog, Dreamworks' "Trolls," King's Hawaiian, Balsam Hill's Oh Christmas Tree as "Deck The Halls", and Krazy Clue's Fun House will make their debut in the 90th annual parade.
Along with these ginormous balloons, we will watch popular performers, extravagant floats, and nationally-ranked bands put on a show to help celebrate the nation's tradition as they do every year. Thanks to Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, everyone is bound to have a happy Thanksgiving Day.
