Flirting.

One of the world's most complex yet beautiful art forms. I've always wondered what makes a person "good at flirting" and just how to figure out if there was ever the off chance I too could one day be considered a quality flirter.

Flirting can be defined as talking to a member of the opposite sex with a certain inflection, body language or motive behind it. I'm not just talking to you as a friend, I'm flirting with you; whether it's a twist of the hair, a battering of the eyelashes, leaning a shoulder in or just making an effort of actually pretending to be listening for once. Flirting is complex at it's core, were are so many components involved that it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. However, have no fear! The easiest ways to perfect your flirting capabilities are as follows:

1. Beautify your voice.

Maybe instead of hooting' or hollerin' or screaming', use a lighter, fluffier tone. Or as my grandmother refers to it "your telephone voice." It's a way of saying "wow look at me, I'm so feminine and dainty and cute and dateable" all through your vocal cords. Think Betty Boop or Marilyn Monroe. You're so high pitched and airy you're on the very brink of sounding like a cartoon character. Guys love that.

2. Laugh non stop.

Almost to the point of crazy person, but toned down like two notches. Laughing is key, you get to show off your pearly whites, your face lights up and it shows you have a stellar personality. But make sure once again, we're going for a cutesy laugh. No knee slapping, just a little giggle here a little chuckle there. If you know you have an awkward laugh, maybe just skip this one. If you are humor-ically challenged just wink at them a lot, that should do the trick. My fav move is the "hook and drag". Wink and turn your head, it leaves em hanging and wanting more. Get it girl.

3. Body. Language.

There is always always always a way to read people without fail and that is through body language. If a guy is facing away from you, leaning his shoulders back and just plain avoiding looking at you, odds are, he's not about it. Your body language is crucial, it not only makes you look good but a subtle arm grab, hair flip or shrug of the shoulder can really make em fall for ya. Elle Woods' bend and snap is always a good one, and the more people around, the better. They'll think 'Wow! What a crowd stopper! I should really wife that up before anyone else in this crowd does first!" Got em. ;)

There is definitely an unspoken boundary surrounding the world of flirting. Subtlety is so essential; flirting is not being desperate and crazy. Have fun, use that telephone voice, flip that hair till you give yourself a concussion, and laugh at least every 10 seconds. Talking about the weather has never been so humorous.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
