1. Don't hit snooze.

Get out of bed and get your day started. If you hit snooze, you're automatically setting your morning up for failure.

2. Have your coffee ready to go the night before.

This means locating your travel mug, filling the pot with coffee grinds, or locating which k-cup you are going to want in the morning. Make sure you fill the water reservoir so that all you have to do in the morning is flip a switch or hit a button.

3. Know exactly what you are going to wear before you go to bed.

How many times have you gone to your closet in the morning looking for something to wear only to find that it's in the hamper? When that happens, you have to start all over and figure out what you are going to wear. Avoid trying on six different outfits by having your clothes selected the night before.

4. Keep all of your everyday makeup products in one place.

If we're being honest, we all have a pretty typical day-to-day makeup routines that involve our favorite products. Keep those products separate from the rest and avoid fumbling through bottomless drawers of products each morning. It will save you an insane amount of time.

5. Pack your lunch the night before.

If you live off-campus and don't have a meal plan or are trying to save money by not going out for lunch every day during the workweek, packing a lunch is crucial. Make your sandwich the night before or scoop some leftover pasta into a plastic container. Bag some fruit or veggies and a sweet treat. Place it in the front of the fridge so it is easy to grab and put in your lunch bag in the morning.

6. Limit yourself to carrying one bag.

There's no need to scramble to pack your backpack and a purse when you're already running late for class. Investing in a giant backpack that can fit your laptop, oversized textbooks a small clutch with your wallet and keys is a life saver. Don't forget to pack your chargers and headphones.

7. Keep everything you need to take with you in the morning by the door.

Have an area where you keep your keys, coat, backpack, etc. so that you know where everything you need to take is. That way, you won't be scrambling to find any lost items when you're about to head out the door.

8. Keep your shoes organized.

The only thing worse than not being able to find the shirt you are looking for is not being able to find an actual pair of shoes.

9. Invest in simple dresses.

The easiest outfit to throw together in the morning is a t-shirt dress.

10. Throw on some lipstick.

Instead of taking the time to do an intense smoky eye or perfect contour, opt for basic foundation, concealer and mascara, then swipe on some lipstick for a put together appearance.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
