Do you ever have an off day where everything seems to be going wrong and nothing can help? Often times these bad days can seem to drag on forever after having come on without warning. But, here are some sure-fire ways to get rid of the bad day blues and make your day just a little bit better!

Five tips for a happier day:

1. Smile

No, I'm not joking. Always remember to smile. Don't you remember a time when you needed one from someone else? We wish we could help others all the time, yet we forget how much a simple, small gesture can make such a huge sense of gratitude and appreciation. Smile at people you pass by, smile at your parents, and smile at yourself. When you look in the mirror, remind yourself (if need be) that you are beautiful, and you'll always be worth it.

2. Write

Write down your thoughts- what you are feeling and why. Keep a record of really good moments, and vent about the bad. Maybe take note of how beautiful the day was, or go off on the joke of the President elect. Write what makes your heart skip and what makes your face fall. Write it, and make sure to state how you truly feel. It is for you.

3. Dance

Do the jig. It doesn't matter if people see, or maybe loop your arm through another's. Make sure you're lighthearted when you need to be. Life is tough, but so are we, and so are our dance moves. Let yourself dance around your friends, dance with your person, and dance through life.

4. Give thanks

Everyone is thankful for something different. If it is a person- tell them. If it is an activity- participate in it more. We don't have all the time in the world, but at least we have these people and these things. We have people and things that make us our best when we're at our worst. Make sure you let them know how much it means.

5. Laugh

There's not enough time to give up your laughter. Never hold it in, and never deny that you have it, because some people can't find theirs. Love your laugh, love the reasons why, and love the people who cause it.

Be happy.

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
