Are they going to like me? This is one of the main questions that most girls have during rush week at their school. As a girl looking to find her new home, I was definitely asking this question. I wanted the girls in each sorority to like me and want me to be their new sister. I wanted them to accept me for who I am and for what I believe in.

Where will I fit in? Another big questions many girls have (At least I had this question) is where their new home will be. A lot of girls go into rush week thinking they know exactly which sorority they want to become apart of. This mind set is dangerous and can hurt the girl and the sororities. The girl may not reach her full potential and neither may the sororities. A girl can come out of the information rounds having a favorite sorority but the next night she may come out with a different favorite. The important thing is that the girl finds her home by the end.

I am so nervous! Many girls go into rush extremely nervous. Nervous that they may not fit in. Nervous that they will not find their home. What ever reason it may be, many girls are nervous. It is completely ok to be nervous. It means you care. Going through rush is a big decision. Choosing your new home is an even bigger, life changing decision. It is ok to be nervous.

How will I know where I fit in? This is one of the main thought that girls have during rush. When you find your home just know. You know you fit in. You know that your new sisters love you. You just know that you have found where you belong. It just fits.

Yes! Bid Day! Finally, the day you get to meet all of your new sisters. This will definitely be one of my most favorite days. Bid day is when you finally go to your home. You get to meet all your sisters who chose YOU to be their new sister. This day is one of the more stressful days but definitely the most exciting.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
