Go to a museum!

Tallahassee has many low-cost options for museums! There is the Museum of Florida History in downtown, there’s Mission San Luis on Tennessee, there’s the Tallahassee Museum, there’s the Florida Historic Capitol Museum on Appalachee Parkway, there’s the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum near the highway, and many more!

Go to the beach!

There are multiple beaches less than a two hour drive from Tally. Can someone say day trip? There’s Saint Marks beach, Saint George Island, Carrabelle beach, and Mexico beach. These all have small entrance fees, but they will be worth it when you are soaking up the rays! Panama City Beach is also two and a half hours away if you don’t mind the longer drive and the crowds!

Go hiking!

There are also many hiking possibilities within an hour’s drive of Tally! There are multiple state parks and state forests close to here. They all have small entrance fees but each park has multiple hiking trails within them that will easily give you a full day’s worth of fun!

Go to Thomasville!

Thomasville is a town in Georgia that’s only a 45 minute drive away from Tally, and it is well worth the trip! The downtown area has many cute stores for you to window shop in or for you to pick up a cute trinket for yourself. There are also many delicious restaurants, a cute coffee shop, and a cupcake café that was featured on the Food Network.

Go to a Tallahassee classic!

There are so many fun things to do within city limits. You could go kayaking at the Rez, climbing at the rock gym. Go to the mall, walk around one of the many parks in town. You could go coffee shop hopping. You could take a drive down one of the many canopy roads in town. Take a walk around Railroad Square and discover cool and unexpected things. Just enjoy Tallahassee! Discover the hidden gems that can be found here and take a few days to relax and see the sights!
