Warning: Here Are 5 Reasons NOT To Go To John Brown University

While searching for your ideal location of higher education, making sure that you find the perfect college or university for your needs can be quite overwhelming. There are countless schools that would like for you to attend.
One of the fastest-growing schools in terms of popularity and student population is John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. However, before you decide to join the school, there are five main factors that may sway you away from the school.

1. If you want your belongings to be stolen, you should not attend John Brown University.

I know, I know. Always being at risk of being mugged can be an exhilarating experience at some colleges and universities. However, this is not how we roll in Siloam. We have an extremely low rate of theft, almost non-existent. So much so, that students feel free to leave their bicycles unlocked and completely out in the open around campus.

2. If you want to breeze through school without putting in any effort, this is not the school for you.

Here at John Brown, labor doesn't come easy. Hard work is praised, and this hard work will prepare you for the years that are to come after you graduate from college. You have to earn your grades. However, you don't have to earn the love and support that is freely given through the JBU campus. This leads us to our next point.

3. If you don't want to be loved, then JBU is not for you.

Out of all of the places I've ever been, I've never experienced such a high concentration of genuine, loving people. Sure, there are plenty of other beautiful colleges out there, with wonderful people that attend. I'm not going to say there aren't. But what I will say, is that it will be virtually impossible to top the quality of JBU's community. And that's a fact, Jack.

4. If you don't like good-looking people, then you shouldn't go to JBU.

It's a well-known fact that everybody on campus could have been an actor/actress, or a GQ model, if they wanted to pursue that kind of life. However, as beautiful as JBU students are, they're also very intelligent. JBU as a community strives to pursue a pure, wholesome lifestyle, both physically and spiritually.

5. If you don't desire to have an incredible, wholesome future, then John Brown isn't your place.

It's no secret, folks. John Brown University is for people who dream big, and believe that dreams can become a reality. So many opportunities are offered at JBU. There are tons of majors to choose from, and many different clubs and teams. There is no doubt that you will find a place where you naturally fit in. The community is ideal, the faculty and staff are always willing to help, and the Lord is always able to meet your needs.

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?

I can barely remember back when I was the only child. Most would say it’s because it is extremely difficult to remember things as a toddler but I would say it's because I was bored until my sister came along. My mother always says how important the "sister bond" is and with every year that passes I realize how right she is. Instead of writing a novel about all of the wonderful things there are about having a sister I decided to list a few of them instead.

It is the time of our lives that we are beginning to enter the adult world and most of us, if not all of us, have no idea what we are doing. It's like starting a video game, but skipping the tutorial. We're all just running around aimlessly hoping we accidentally do something right that moves us along the right path. Now that graduation has just happened, or is right around the corner for some of us, it's time to start thinking about how we are going to take care of ourselves once we are on our own.
