Cats: You either love them or you don't. (If you don't, you're wrong.)
If you're a cat lover like me, there are certain things you know just come with the territory of owning or being around feline friends.
1. When someone asks, "Where do you see yourself in ten years?"
Cats aren't just pets by any means. They are our babies. We feed them, love them, and spoil them with treats and toys. All of our pictures include them and all of our stories start with "You won't believe what my cat did!" Even when they are being mischievous, we love our fur babies. That's why, in ten years, we'll probably have several cats.
2. Cats are way more independent than dogs.
When it comes to independence, dogs are like freshmen in college. They get lost, scared, and don't know what to do. They can't keep themselves clean and someone has to give them a bath. Cats are like seniors. They keep themselves groomed and looking their best. They don't need constant companionship. A cat's owner knows that their fur baby will only come when it needs something important, whether it be a treat or a quick petting.
3. Cats are great masters of defense.
Don't let their sweet faces or soft fur fool you--- cats are skilled ninjas. Every cat owner knows that their cat has that one place that cannot be petted. One accidental slip of the hand, the claws come out. Cats, no matter the age, breed, or size, will handle anyone they think has "wronged" them. Watch out.
4. Cat hair---Cat hair everywhere!
We love our cats dearly. We love their purr, softness, and crazy antics. However, we do not love their hair, which seems to end up on everything and cling forever. You can usually spot someone with a cat by the loose hair decorating their wardrobe. We have ninety-nine problems and cat hair is number one.
5. Cats are our best friends.
Despite the occasion scratch or the never ending battle with shedding, cat owners love their cats more than some of their human friends. You can tell a cat anything---they won't judge you. They love you, too. They are the perfect companion to cuddle with and they always make us laugh.
What do you think, cat owners? Am I right?
