Five Steps To Waking Up For An 8:00 a.m. Class

No one likes those 8:00 a.m. classes, but we have to take them anyway

Five Steps To Waking Up For An 8:00 a.m. Class

Unless you're a morning person, no one likes waking up early. For a night person, waking up early is nearly impossible. If life would go your way, you'd never have to wake up early again. Alas, that's not how life works, so you still need to be able to wake up, be presentable, and be on time for specific obligations, regardless of how early it is. These are the steps that many go through every morning before class...

1. Setting your alarm(s)

If you are anything like me, you often have to have multiple alarms. You have to set so many alarms that you're afraid your roommate will hate you. At the same time, you can seem to be able to actually move any other way. The trick is to get your alarms spaced enough so that you can't go back to sleep, but you don't wake up your sleeping roommate.

2. Picking your clothes for the day

If you were smart, you picked your outfit the night before. If not, (like me) you have to pick them out when you're not completely awake yet. Your closet becomes a dreaded place. Not to mention the fact that if you are a woman, you might even have to do your hair and make-up. That might even be the hardest part because you have to have a steady hand. Thinking and fatigue don't mix well.

3. Coffee

For those in desperate need of a literal wake-up call in the morning, coffee is essential. You always make sure there's time to at least bring it with you to your morning classes because you need it to stay awake. Otherwise that monotonous prof will put you straight to sleep.

4. Going to class

You have to find a way to stay awake long enough for your 8 a.m. class to get out - but then that's what the coffee's for. Of course, that means you have to stay awake all day, even after it's done...Why is this class so early?

5. Nap time!

Once you get back to your room, you have a chance to get just a few more minutes of sleep...assuming the coffee doesn't keep you up. But, hey, you can always take a nap later, right?

You may hate waking up early in the morning, but at the end of the day, it's all worth it. You fought to get to where you are. Plus, once you get that diploma, you'll never have to take those classes again!

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
