With Finals week quickly approaching, students everywhere are trying to cram a semester's worth of information into a few nights of studying. We all know this never turns out well, but we continue to do it, semester after semester. These five stages pretty much sum up the studying process:
1. Denial
Your test isn't for a whole week! You can go out for the next few nights, right? You'll have plenty of time!
2. Panic
It's two days before your test and you quickly realize that you don't have nearly as much time to study as you thought. Maybe you should put down the drinks and pick up the books?
3. Short-Term Motivation
Okay, it's really time to get it together. You organize all your notes, pack up your book bag and head to the library! You got this!
4. Panic (Again)
After looking over your notes for about five minutes, you realize that you really don't "got this." There is no possible way you can learn or remember all of this information. So, instead of studying, you start calculating the lowest grade you can get on your exam to still make a half-decent grade in the class.
5. Acceptance
Your parents will still love you even if you don't have a 4.0, right? You'll just try harder next semester...
