You’ve practically spent every hour of every day with these people for just about 4 months since your last long term break, and now you’re expected to spend the next 3 months hours apart. Now this is not to say that your good ole high school besties aren’t enough but you have to admit you do go through a bit of withdrawal from your college buds. But lets me honest after all the togetherness we tend to miss our friends in stages.

1. The occasional text

No this is not to say that all of our time spent together has sent us over the edge and we never want to see these people ever again but we’re ready for a little bit of space. We’re ready to enjoy the comforts of our own room and a little privacy. We aren’t totally opposed to sending a text here and there to update our friends on our latest news instead of catching up on every detail laying in bed at the end of the day.

2. Weekly Facetime

The summer is now in full swing and everyone is busy working, vacationing, or bumming around and you find yourself missing your roomies just a little bit more. You’re still enjoying the privacy of your own room but your group messages tend to buzz a little more and the facetimes begin to add up as you check in on what everyone is up to.

3. Visits Planned

Okay by this point you’re ready to see your friends again because your high school friends are sick of hearing about something that happened that one night that was a “you had to be there moment”. So train or bus tickets are bought and work is taken off. You are ready to venture into your besties world for the weekend and see all of their favorite places that you have heard about for the past year or so and enjoy some quality catching up.

4. Visit Withdrawal

So you’ve returned home from a great weekend spent adventuring around your friend’s beloved hometown and you realize that your quick visit was such a tease and you are ready to get back to school and create more memories. You’ve enjoyed your time back home with your friends and a little more privacy but you’re ready to get back to school.

5. Counting Down the Hours

August has finally hit and you are more than ready to move into your new apartment or dorm room and you find yourself practically (or literally) counting down the hours until you are back to living with your best friends. You are ready to kick off the beginning of another great school year and find it hard to believe you ever wanted any distance from your friends.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
