Being the maid of honor is a very important job. Everyone knows that a wedding is one of the most important day of the couple's lives. Everything must be perfect, and if one thing goes wrongBRIDEZILLA could come out.

It is certainly understandable why brides would want everything to be perfect. Since being little girls, we have read about the “happy ever after,” and it seems to be that the wedding is the start of our own “ever after."

Nevertheless, back to the importance of the maid of honor. She is with the bride through it all. From the very beginning of selecting the save the dates to the very end when she needs to send them off to the day of the couple's wedding. She is the go-to girl and has to stay tough when the bride seems to be fragile and the one that helps make the final decision.

It is stressful, but there are five things you need to remember when you're the maid of honor.

1. You must always remember to never say something does not matter.

Whether it comes to it being the simplest things such as the color of the napkins or the types of plates or chairs, everythingis important to the bride.

2. Always remember, what is important to the bride is important to you.

While you may certainly not care too much about certain decisions, try to pretend you do. The bride may feel as though she is bothering you or that you do not really care if you say phrases such as “ both are cute” or “ doesn’t matter, you decide.”

3. When it comes to being a maid of honor you must always tell the bride your real opinion.

You're the maid of honor for a reason, and you most likely have been there with her for most of her life. You most likely know her the best and understand her tastes and interests. Sometimes brides get so caught up in what they see that they become completely and utterly blind to what they really want. Remind them, just every once in a while, and hopefully, they will come back to reality.

4. Have fun while planning it.

While planning a wedding is exceedingly long and stressful, try to make the best of it. Get excited and try to think of little fun things that will make going to those exhausting appointments for something dealing with the wedding. This should not be a burden but rather an exciting time. The happier and more excited you are about the wedding, the less stress-induced this process will be for the both of you.

5. Make sure this is the best day of the bride's life, you have both worked so hard for this day.

This is most definitely the hardest task but it is attainable. This day will be filled with highs of emotions and joy, so make sure you take in these moments. Everything needs to be as perfect as it can be from when the sun rises to when the sun sets. The will be the best day of her life and remember that this is just the beginning of her very own “ happily ever after.”

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
