5 Signs You Are Obsessed With Your Dog
Macey Jenkins

Robert Wagner once said, “A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things won’t be too bad.” So anyone who owns, or has ever owned a dog, knows that this quote is 500% true. Bust sometimes that love can turn into a complete obsession. With that being said, here are 5 signs that you may be obsessed with your dog:

1. You have pictures of your dog everywhere.

You always have that favorite picture that you show everywhere because it captures your dogs personality to a T. You have pictures hanging up in your house, al over any social media account, and on your screen saver, too.

2. You talk about your dog ALL THE TIME

You will use any excuse to bring up your dog in conversation. Someone may even just mention the word bacon and you will automatically bring up the fact that your dog loves bacon. Every conversation can obviously lead up to the story about when your dog chewed up your favorite eyeliner pencil.

3. You share food with your dog

When you eat the dog eats. You can never have a nice sit down meal because you know your dog will be pawing at your leg wanting some food too. You may be eating a salad but that doesn't matter because you still have to share or else you get the puppy dog eyes.

4. Your heart breaks every time you leave them at home.

Even if its just going to work, it breaks your heart to leave your dog at home. You hate the thought of them being alone for more than five minutes, and they may hate it too to be honest. And if you are away for more than a week, you require daily pictures and updates just so you won't freak out too much.

5. Your dog is your firstborn child actually.

You may not have kids, but if you have an obsession with your dog, then you basically treat your dog like your own child. You will take your dog everywhere, buy it whatever it wants in the pet store, make sure they have spa days obviously, and even have birthday parties. But when they mess up or don't "listen" to you you have the same disappointment that you would for your own child.

So yes, you may be obsessed with your dog, but you know that they love you just as much as you love them. Show your dog that love and I guarantee that they will show you that love, too.
